About calculate.sh

calculate.sh is a collection of free browser-based tools for developers and everyday users, built and operated by fx-world Softwareentwicklung. The tools focus on the calculations and text/code operations that developers reach for every day - and on doing them privately.

What this site is for

The site exists because small online tools tend to share two frustrations: they upload your input to a server, and they are littered with limits, paywalls, and sign-up screens. This project deliberately does the opposite:

• The tools run in your browser. What you type into a tool is processed locally - hash functions use the browser's WebCrypto API, the other tools plain JavaScript - and no tool transmits your input anywhere.
• No accounts, no limits. Every tool is free and works without registration.
• Fast and focused. Each page is lightweight and loads quickly, on desktop or mobile.

The tools

Tools are added and improved continuously, and each tool's page documents exactly how it behaves - including edge cases and limitations, so you know what you are getting.

Privacy

Because all tool computations happen locally, your tool input is never collected. The site itself is financed by advertising: ads are delivered by the ad network Adsterra, which may use cookies depending on your consent choices, and the server keeps standard access logs.
